Well I did say I would write a post about decorating with firearms, so you were warned!
The gun, it seems, is a pretty iconic and controversial image. Its prevalence in my psyche stems from a love of early Westerns, with gun-toting cowboy heroes, Clint Eastwood's very large Magnum and the pop art prints of Lichtenstein and Warhol that adorned my wall as a teenager.
Recently artists like the Chapman Brothers, Linda Lighton and Francois Robert have sought to comment or provoke a dialogue about guns and war, with their amazing pieces and Estonian artist Mati Karim reinvents mines into uber cool furniture. Who wouldn't want this awesome landmine desk?
I will however, take a giant swerve away from ethics, politics and philosophy, on what has turned into a lovely sunny Friday afternoon, and just take a quizzical and design orientated look at products, art and interiors that incorporate this particular version of deadly design!

First up for interiors has got to be this - best conference room ever - at Heckler & Koch HQ, Virginia. I guess nobody argues with the boss there!!
And what commentary on decorating with firearms would be complete without at least a nod towards survivalist chic - this one is actually pretty cool. Taxidermy and guns, I could live in a basement like this.
And when one gun simply won't do, build yourself and arsenal for the zombie apocalypse!!
This room pretty much has everything you could possibly want, except a very dry Martini!
As weaponized products go, this Firearm Bedside lamp by Phillipe Stark is to die for,
these 'Bang Bang' door handles by Nikita Kovalev for Napalm Design actually open and close when you pull the trigger,
and these, well, these are just plain cool!!!! Marmite soldiers anyone?
Lastly where would we be without fashion to lead the way in arms related chic - try walking in these or in fact doing anything with those nails!!
